Why Consider An Upgrade To Sitecore 9 2

Having worked with clients on Sitecore projects for several years, I appreciate Sitecore’s commitment to continually elevating and extending their platform. Their desire to be continually the market leader as a Digital Experience Platform (DXP) and in the Web Content Management System (WCM) space pays dividends for martech teams using their platform. In Sitecore’s most recent release of Sitecore 9.2, there is a lot for customers and implementation partners alike to be excited about, including the announcement of the Sitecore Content Management Platform (CMP). In this article, I will unpack several of the highlights of Sitecore’s release and how I see them being beneficial for customers.

Machine learning will help you optimize your use of data from any source in real time

Since Sitecore Symposium 2018, we have been hearing about Sitecore Cortex and how it would revolutionize personalization at scale. I am so excited for this release because now I can help clients leverage machine learning to create better personalized content. I am looking forward to the insights Sitecore Cortex will be able to give my clients so that we can optimize their content to better reach existing target markets. The other great promise of Sitecore Cortex is its ability to find new insights from data that may not have been considered before. In turn, this will help our clients explore new possibilities for further marketing – and ultimately more generate more revenue.

Sitecore Content Hub delivers more value for marketers

With Sitecore 9.2 Sitecore Content Hub is now available. Clients have long wanted a digital asset management (DAM) system as part of the Sitecore workflow. After announcing the acquisition of the Style Labs DAM at Sitecore Symposium 2018, Sitecore clients have been eager to get their hands on it. With Sitecore being a headless platform that can deliver content to all channels, this helps marketers ensure consistency and brand voicing across all channels. Additionally, clients will now be able to handle versioning and approval workflows native in Sitecore.

For implementation partners like XCentium, Sitecore Content Hub helps streamline our work with agencies to easily integrate their work into Sitecore, delivering results seamlessly for our mutual clients. Sitecore’s vision is for a tight integration with both their media library and Content Hub is definitely another reason to pick Sitecore over Adobe.

Data Purging for GDPR

With the latest GDPR regulations, it’s imperative for clients to offer visitors one-click complete deletion. This includes all personalization, cookies and data collected for customers. With the 9.2 release, clients will now be able to deploy a simple feature on Sitecore site that will eliminate all single user data. With all websites required to be GDPR compliant, this feature is important for enabling great user experiences.

Active personalization reporting

I am excited to dig into Sitecore 9.2 to explore the active personalization reporting and implement it for our clients. This is another step towards delivering on the promise of the viewing real time customer interactions, at scale. Digital marketing professionals and anyone who depends on analytics will be interested in learning these new features.

Doubling Down On Content Workflow: Introducing the Sitecore Content Marketing Platform

As a Content strategist, I am excited to be able to use the Sitecore Content Marketing Platform and implement it for our clients. With customers having complex branded website solutions, it is more important than ever for marketers to have a platform that enables them to leverage content across all their channels, while controlling their brand voicing, their content workflow and publishing to their channels. Sitecore’s Content Marketing Platform will boost the efficiency, scale and impact of content marketing by merging strategic and project planning with content creation, management and analysis rolled into one unified and collaborative platform. The Sitecore CMP will enable marketing teams to streamline production among a variety of simultaneous task streams among various content stake holders. A new platform designed to align and simplify efforts, to enable teams to do more with less. What’s not to love?
